PREVENTING BATTERY ACID LEAKAGE

To minimize the possibility of battery acid leakage, only use high quality
alkaline, lithium or rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride batteries. To mini-
mize the possibility of battery acid leakage, only use high quality alkaline,
lithium or rechargeable nickel-metal-hydride batteries. Never intermix
old with new, or different brands or types of batteries. Never charge AA,
non-rechargeable batteries. Damage caused by battery acid leakage is
not covered by this product’s warranty.

TURNING THE E4 ON AND OFF

Turn the E4 on with a long-press of the

button. If FM, AM or SW, as

well as a radio frequency, is in the display it’s on in radio mode. If no radio
frequency is in the display it’s in the MP3 mode. To switch between these
modes press the

button.

CHARGING NI-MH BATTERIES WITH THE AC

ADAPTER/CHARGER

1. Install 3 Nickel-Metal-Hydride (Ni-MH) batteries of the same milliamp

hour value and brand.

2. With the radio off, plug-in the AC adaptor,

displays in theLCD.

3. Turn off the unit and press

. The battery symbol

is flowing, the

charging light turns on and the charging starts.

4. When the battery is charged,

stops flowing and

displays in

the LCD. If you want to stop charging, press

once.

NOTE: When charging, you can use the radio normally.
