7.1 Remove lawn mower from carton
Roll lawn mower out of carton and check carton thoroughly for additional loose parts.
7.2 Install attachments
Your lawn mower was shipped ready to be used as rear bag mower.
7.3 Set up your mower
Important: unfold handle carefully so as not to pinch or damage control
cables.
 Raise handles until lower handle section locks into place at mowing position.
 Remove protective padding, raise upper handle section into place on lower handle and
tighten both handle knobs.
 Remove handle padding holding operating/ safety handle to upper handle.
 Side discharge function: please install the side discharge cover. (Fig 1)
 Only Mulching: please remove the side discharge cover. (Fig 2)
8 OPERATION
Operating/safety lever must be held down to the handle to start the engine. Release to stop
the engine.
Starter handle-used for starting engine.
Drive handle is used to engage power-propelled forward motion of lawn mower.
8.1 Use your lawn mower engine speed
The engine speed was set at the factory for optimum performance. Speed is not adjustable.
8.2 Drive Control
 Self-propelling is controlled by
holding the operating/ safety handle
(a) down to the push handle (b).
Pull starter cord to start engine.
Pushing the drive handle (c) forward
to move forward.
 Forward motion will stop when the
drive handle (c) is released. Hold
operating/ safety handle (a) down
against push handle (b) to continue
mowing without self-propelling.
8.3 Adjust cutting height
Raise wheels for low cut and lower wheels for deep cut, adjust cutting height to suit your
requirements. Medium position is best for most lawns.
8.4 Before starting engine, add oil
Before each subsequent use the oil level must be checked and if necessary topped up with
600 ml SAE30 (4-stroke-oil) engine oil.
