Power supply connection

The rain barrel pump you have acquired

is already fitted with a home office (safety)

plug. The pump is designed for connection

to an earthed wall socket with a residual

current operated device (RCD switch) at

230 V ~ 50Hz.

Switching on and off

When submerging the pump, en-

sure that the shut-off tap ( 18) is

open, to guarantee that the air is

vented from the pump.

1. Open the shut-off tap

( 18).

2. Fully submerge the pump.

3. Insert the plug in the socket. The pump

starts working immediately.

4. To switch off, withdraw the plug from

the socket. The pump stops.

If the water level is too low, the

float switch will automatically

switch off the pump.

Supervise the appliance while it is

in operation in order to be immedi-

ately aware if the automatic cut-out

operates or the pump runs dry, to

limit any damage to a minimum.

Adjusting the float switch

Automatic mode:

The on or off switching point on the float

switch (  6) can be continuously ad-

justed.

Loosen the screw on the float switch

height adjustment (4) and bring it

into the required position (arrow

has to show upwards).

Check the float switch (6). It must

be positioned so that it can lift and

lower freely. The switching point

heights “On” and “Off” must be

easy to reach.

There is a risk of dry running if the

float switch cable (  3) is select-

ed to be too long, particularly if the

float switch height adjustment

(   4) is not fitted.

Manual mode:

The pump runs continuously in manual

mode.

Position the float switch (6) as

shown.

Cleaning and storage

Clean and service your appliance on a

regular basis. This will guarantee its opti-

mum performance and a long service life.

Ask our service centre to car-

ry out any work that is not

described in these instruc-

tions. Use only original parts.

There is a risk of injury!

Pull out the power plug before every

maintenance operation. There is a

risk of electrocution or of injury from

moving parts.
