How to use / Cleaning and care

How to use

Note: The light has a motion sensor that reacts to
temperature changes. The sensor works best at an
ambient temperature below 20 °C. A moving object
at a temperature close to the ambient temperature
is only detected with great difficulty.

Note: The controls are at the front of the lamp,
above the motion sensor

9

(Fig. J).

Regulating the sensor range

The range of the motion sensor

9

is approx.

6–10 m if the lamp is installed at a height of 1.80
to 2.50 m (Fig. K). It has a roughly 100° detection
radius (Fig. L).

Turn the control to regulate the sensor range

8

clockwise to increase the range of the motion
sensor

9

.

Turn the control to regulate the sensor range

8

anti-clockwise to decrease the range of the
motion sensor

9

.

Regulating the sensitivity
of the light

Turn the control to regulate the light sensitivity

7

clockwise to increase the sensitivity of the light.

Turn the control to regulate the light sensitivity

7

anti-clockwise to decrease the sensitivity of the
light.

Note: When the lamp is switched on, the light
sensitivity sensor is switched off so that even despite
the brightness from the light movements can still be
detected.

Regulating the duration
of the illumination

The amount of time the light stays on can be set to
a value between approx. 5 and 240–300 seconds.

Turn the control to regulate the duration of
the illumination

6

clockwise to increase the

duration of the illumination.

Turn the control to regulate the duration of the
illumination

6

anti-clockwise to decrease the

duration of the illumination.

Note: After the motion detector has switched the
light on, the light will stay on for the set period of time.
If during this period a new movement is detected,
the time the light stays on for will be extended by
the set period of time.

Replacing the illuminant

Make sure that the lamp is dead, i.e. not live.
To do so, remove the fuse or move the switch
of the fuse in your sub-distribution to “0”.

The lamp can get very hot when in use. If
necessary, allow the lamp to cool down for
about 15 minutes.

Remove the lamp cover

1

. To do so, unscrew

the screws

3

that connect the lamp cover

1

to the lamp shade

4

.

Remove the illuminant

2

from the base.

Insert a new illuminant with a suitable base
and of an appropriate wattage (see section on
“Technical data”).

Screw the lamp cover back onto the lamp
shade

4

. Ensure that the sealing ring

14

is

correctly seated on the lamp shade

4

.

Switch the electrical power back on.

Cleaning and care

Switch the lamp off before starting to clean it.
To do so, remove the fuse or move the switch
of the fuse to “0“.

Let the lamp cool down for at least fifteen
minutes before cleaning it.

Never use water or any other fluid to clean the
lamp. Do not immerse the lamp in water.

Do not use any solvents, petrol or similar. This
would cause damage to the device.
