Correct procedure

Check before fastening the light to the ceiling

whether the ceiling is suitable for supporting
the light. If necessary seek advice from your
local DIY supplier or a construction professional.

Examine the ceiling before installation and

choose suitable installation fixings.

For ceiling installation we have supplied fixings

suitable for ordinary solid concrete or masonry
construction.

Replace defective bulbs with new ones imme-

diately, otherwise damage to the product may
occur.

Only use 230 V ∼ halogen light bulbs with a

GU 10 base and a maximum output of 40 watts.

Fit the light in such a way to ensure it is protected

from damp and dirt.

Important: The electrical connection must be made
by a qualified electrician or a person authorised
to perform electrical installations. This person must
be familiar with the properties of the light and all
connection regulations.

Before installation, please familiarise yourself

with the instructions and illustrations in this
operating manual and with the light itself.

Make sure before installation that there is no

voltage on the line you will be connecting the
light to. To do this, remove the fuse or switch off
the circuit breaker in the fuse box (0 position).

Check that there is no voltage using a voltage

tester.

Installation

Note: You will need an electric drill to install the light.

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Please read

the operating instructions for your drill.

Remove the screws on the side of the

connection enclosure.

Remove the mounting stirrup from the

connection enclosure.

Mark the positions for the drilled holes on the

ceiling using the predrilled holes in the mounting
stirrup as a guide.

Now drill the fixing holes.

CAUTION! Ensure that you do not damage

any cables in the ceiling.

Insert the dowels into the drilled holes.
Fix the mounting stirrup to the ceiling with the

screws.

Now connect the connection cable of the light

to the mains connection cable (external) by
means of the terminal block.

Note: Ensure that each wire of the mains
connection cable (external) is properly con-
nected in the correct place: live wire, black or
brown = symbol L, neutral wire, blue = symbol N,
protective earth wire, green-yellow = symbol .

Fix the light to the mounting stirrup with the

screws.

Note: Use a clean, fluff-free cloth when you
are inserting a bulb.

Use a suction cup to insert the bulb and turn it

a ¼ turn clockwise. Check that it is correctly
seated.

Your light is now ready for operation.
