Safety information

DANGER OF

LOSS OF LIFE AND ACCIDENT
TO INFANTS AND CHILDREN!

Never leave children unsupervised with the
packaging materials. Danger of suffocation.
Keep out of the reach of children.

This device is not a toy and should not be

played with by children. Children are not able
to understand the dangers that can occur when
handling this device.

RISK OF LOSS OF LIFE!

During installation keep children away from the
area in which you are working. The scope of
supply includes a number of screws and other
small parts. These may prove lifethreatening if
swallowed or inhaled.

Children or persons who lack the knowledge or

experience to use the device or whose physical,
sensory or intellectual capacities are limited
must never be allowed to use the device without
supervision or instruction by a person responsible
for their safety. Children must never be allowed
to play with the device.

CAUTION! DANGER OF EX-
PLOSION! Do not operate the lamp
in potentially explosive environments

in which there are inflammable vapours, gases
or dusts.

The light is not suitable for cool
beam halogen bulbs (reduces the
heat load in the light beam).

This light is designed for use indoors
only, in dry and enclosed rooms.

The lamp requires no protective cover-
ing to protect against UV radiation or
shattering of the lamp (“self-shielded”).

CAUTION! Only use halogen light bulbs

with a GU 10 base and a maximum output
of 40 watts.

Danger to life by electric shock

Electrical installation must be performed by a

qualified electrician or a person authorised to
perform electrical installations.

Every time before connecting the lamp to the

mains, check it and the mains lead for damage.
Never use your light if you find it is damaged
in any way.

Before installation, remove the fuse for this circuit

or switch off the circuit breaker (0 setting) in the
fuse box.

Make sure before installing the light that the mains

voltage at the place of installation complies
with the operating voltage of the light
(230 V ∼) and that the wire cross-section of the
supply cable is not less than 1 mm2. Do not
install the light if this is not the case.

Never let the lamp come into contact with

water or other liquids.

Never open or insert anything into electrical

fittings or equipment. Doing this sort of thing can
lead to a serious danger to life from electric
shock.

Avoiding fire hazards and
risk of injury

CAUTION! RISK OF INJURY! Check the

lamps and light immediately on unpacking for
signs of damage. Do not install the light if you
discover any damage.

RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!

RISK OF DAMAGE TO PROPERTY! RISK
OF INJURY! Ensure that you do not strike
electrical cables, gas or water pipes when you
are drilling into the ceiling. If necessary, check
the ceiling using a suitable detector before you
drill.

0,5 m

FIRE HAZARD! Fit the light so that
it is at least 0.5 m away from the
material illuminated. Fire can result

from the development of too much heat.

CAUTION! RISK OF BURNS! Make sure

that the light is switched off and has cooled
down for 30 min. before you touch it. Lamps
can become very hot.
