Risk of personal injury and property damage
Before use check the appliance for visible external damage. Do not take into ■
operation an appliance that is damaged or has been dropped.
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children)

with restricted physical, physiological or intellectual abilities or defi ciences
in experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person
responsible for their safety or receive from this person instruction in how the
appliance is to be used.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.
Do not expose the appliance to extreme temperatures, severe vibrations, high
■
mechanical loads, direct sunlight or high humidity. If you do, the appliance
could be damaged.
Never open the appliance housing. Personal injury and damage to the

appliance could be the result.
Repairs should only be carried out by authorized specialist companies or
■
by the Customer Service department.
Do not allow the measuring tape to rewind itself without control.

The laser beam can cause serious eye damage.
This appliance contains a Class 2 laser.
NEVER ► look directly into the laser beam.
NEVER ► direct the laser beam at other people or animals.
NEVER ► direct the laser beam at surfaces or objects that can
refl ect light.
Caution: If operating and adjustment facilities or procedures

other than those specifi ed here are employed, they may result in
hazardous radiation exposure.
ALWAYS ► switch the laser beam off whenever the appliance is
not in use.
