About This Manual
Purpose
The manual has been written to help you use the Risco Device Discovery utility.
Intended Audience
This manual is primarily intended for the installers who will be able to configure the devices and
diagnose the health of the devices using this utility.
Prerequisites for Use
Basic understanding of Access Control System is required. Basic knowledge of configuration of devices
and network addresses is essential.
Organisation of the Manual
Introduction provides a brief description on RDD, prerequisites for use and purpose for using RDD.
Getting Started describes the steps to log on and log off from RDD
Search Devices describes the steps to search for firmware devices in the application.
Device Status Activities illustrates the activities you may perform to view the status of the devices.
Device Configuration Activities describes the configuration activities such as editing CFG file,
advanced CFG file and so on.
Device Diagnostic Activities discusses the use of RDD for viewing the status and diagnosing the health
of the devices.
