Automatic Shut-Off

The automatic suction shut-off functions when the recovery tank is full of
liquid. This can be detected by a noticeable difference in the motor sound.
Immediately turn off the unit when this happens and empty the recovery tank.

B. Emptying the Recovery Tank

NOTE: Turn off the power switch and unplug the carpet shampooer/extractor

to empty the recovery tank.

1) Press the recovery tank latch downward to release the tank from the carpet

shampooer/extractor unit as shown in Figure 1.

2) Slide the recovery tank out from the lower portion of the carpet shampooer/

extractor unit.

3) Lift off the recovery tank lid and empty contents into a suitable water drain.

4) Rinse out the recovery tank and tank lid thoroughly.

5) Remove and clean the filter by rinsing it with water after each use. Place the

same filter back in the recovery tank as shown in Figure 2.

6) Replace the recovery tank lid by aligning notches in lid over tank tabs.

7) Close lid securely.

8) Return the recovery tank to the carpet shampooer/extractor unit.

9) Push the recovery tank all the way into carpet shampooer/extractor until secure.

Be sure the ridge on the latch snaps securely in place.

10) Resume cleaning.

extractor models do not feature an
attachment hose and selector
knob. These features are specified
only on selected models.
