USB-HID Ghosting
This function allows storing the specific keyboard and mouse descriptors into the Transmitter unit. This
permanent storage prevents the registration and deregistration process of keyboard and mouse on an
operating system each time, if there is a shared use of a source (computer, CPU) by two or more consoles
within a KVM matrix.
The following table lists the keyboard commands for the configuration of USB-HID Ghosting:
Configuration File
The KVM Extender contains a configuration file (Config.txt) to set specific parameters and to read out device
and video information. You can find it on the flash drive of the KVM Extender. The flash drive can be opened
by a mini USB connection to a computer. The configuration file can be edited with all common text editors.
The individual settings of the parameters are described in the respective chapters.
