INtRoDUCtIoN
Your ultrasonic distance meter is perfect for building-industry professionals who need to know
quickly the measurement or area of a room. The UDM45 can measure distances in a straight
line from 0.5 m to 15 meters (1.7 to 49 ft). Your ultrasonic distance meter transmits ultrasonic
waves to the point you want to measure and then measures the time taken by the waves to
reflect. Afterwards, it calculates and re-transcribes the distance.

fEAtURES

foot/Meter function pushbutton allows you to transcribe or convert measurements in foot

Automatic power off: The device turns itself off after 30 seconds.

Addition function allows you to add 2 measurements.

Calculation of area and volume based on the measured data.

Correction of errors: the distance meter indicates that the measured distance is out of range.

oPERAtINg INStRUCtIoNS

Switching on
press ‘ReAD’ pushbutton to turn on the unit and the default mode is distance mode. Your
device will turn off automatically without pressing any pushbutton for 30 seconds.
Remarks
The distance reading will be displayed for about 4 min (or more if you press another key).
eRRoR may appear if you try to measure a distance longer or shorter than the specified range.

Change units - foot/Meter
press ‘+/=’ and ‘x/=’ to convert a given distance into feet or meters.

Distance Measurement
press ‘ReAD’ for measuring once; press and hold it longer than 3 seconds for continuous
measurement.

Add stored measurements

press ‘ReAD’ pushbutton to store a measured distance.

press’+/=’ to enter the addition mode.

2.

press ‘ReAD’ again to take another measurement.

3.

press’+/= ‘once again for adding the dimensions and the sum is shown on the display.

4.

press’ ReAD ’to cancel the addition mode.
