1.2.1 Features
The LSI53C140 supports these features:
•
Any combination of LVD, SE, or HVD transceivers
•
Creates distinct SCSI bus segments that are electrically isolated
from each other
•
Integrated LVDlink transceivers for direct attachment to either LVD,
SE, or HVD bus segments
•
Operates as a SCSI Bus Expander
– LVD to LVD (Ultra2 SCSI)
– HVD to HVD (Ultra SCSI)
– SE to SE (Ultra SCSI)
•
Operates as a SCSI Bus Converter
– LVD to HVD (Ultra SCSI)
– LVD to SE (Ultra SCSI)
– HVD to SE (Ultra SCSI)
•
Targets and initiators may be located on either the A or B Side of the
device
