2. Press the MENU button twice to turn the LCD monitor off.

3. Wait until the indicator light beside the viewfinder comes

on.

4. Look straight through the viewfinder and center your

subject in the focus frame.

Note:
Hold the camera steadily with both hands and keep it still

for a few moments after you press the shutter button.

Make sure that you are not blocking the areas around the

lens, flash, and timer light with your finger, the strap,
clothing, or other objects.

The visible frame in the viewfinder indicates the

approximate area that is captured in the photo.

5. Hold the shutter button

halfway down to lock the
auto focus. The focus is
locked when the indicator
light next to the viewfinder
stops blinking. If you wish,
you can now reposition the
subject off-center while
keeping it in focus.

6. Hold the camera still while

depressing the shutter
button fully to take the
picture. Then release the
shutter button.
