Next, the Select Listing Preference screen is displayed, showing three
different ways to sort and select from all POI categories.

Refer to Table 7 to determine which sorting preference will work best for you
and the POI you are looking for.
Using the and buttons, highlight your choice, and press to select
it.
After selecting a POI, the Select Route Criteria screen is displayed. Refer to
“Selecting Route Criteria” on page 31 for more details.
Note. Some categories may not be available in some areas and all possible POIs
may not be listed for all categories. For example, although the “Restaurant”
category is very extensive, it is only as current as the Map CD database
information. Since businesses change over time, so will the accuracy of your
Map CD. Also, several categories restrict the search radius when sorting by
distance. For example, a list of national fast food franchises might be huge for a
certain area, and you are probably not interested in one 500 miles away. Still,
distant POIs may be found using the Within a City option.

Option Select This Option to...
Sort by Distance List entries for a POI category, with the nearest POI at the top of the list. For
example, select this option if your car needs service and your would like to find
the nearest “Auto Service & Maintenance” station.
Sort by Name List entries for a POI category in alphabetical order. For example, if you would
like to find a “Restaurant” that’s been recommended, but you only know the
name of it and not the location.
Within a City List entries for a POI category for a specific city. For example, if you would like
to find a public park in the city that you are in.
