Route Calculation and Guidance Screens

Route Calculation Screen
While the navigation system is calculating a route, a processing screen
similar to this appears. The specific destination you selected appears in the
center white box.
Screen 17. Calculating Route Screen
This display lasts for less than 15 seconds when using Quick calculation (as
selected for Route Criteria). For Optimal calculations, the time may be
somewhat longer. If you suddenly change your mind and want to enter a new
destination or change your route criteria, press the button to cancel the
route calculation.
Note. During the very first calculation following start-up, your navigation
system will display a temporary “Please Wait” notice on this screen while voice
data is being loaded from the CD.
Please Proceed Screen
When route calculations are complete, a Please Proceed screen automatically
appears with a map showing the calculated route in pink. Major freeways are in
blue. Other streets are shown in white. A green triangle icon indicates vehicle
heading and location. A yellow arrow shows the direction to be traveled. Since
this screen closely resembles the Map Display screen, other mapping landmarks
and screen footer details are described in “Map Display Screen” on page 38.
Screen 18 illustrates a typical Please Proceed screen.
