Replacing the Ni-Cd Battery Pack

It should not usually be necessary to replace the battery pack. If you do want to
replace the battery pack, follow the instructions below.

Warning

To avoid electrical shock, remove test leads and probes before
opening the battery access cover.

Disconnect test leads and probes both at the source and at the
Fluke 43B.

Locate the battery access cover on the bottom rear. Loosen the screw
with a flat-blade screwdriver.

Remove the battery access cover.

Take the battery pack out of the compartment.

Disconnect the battery plug from the connector.

Install a new battery pack.

Note

Ensure that the battery pack is placed in the battery compartment as
shown in Figure 10. Use only the Fluke BP120 Ni-Cd battery pack.

Reinstall the battery cover and secure the screw.

Note

This instrument contains Nickel-Cadmium batteries. Do not dispose of
this battery pack with other solid waste. Used batteries should be
disposed of by a qualified recycler or hazardous materials handler.
Contact your authorized FLUKE Service Center for recycling
information.
