To replace the belt:

1. disConneCt bandsaW FroM poWer!

2. open both wheel covers.

3. remove the bandsaw blade.

4. loosen the motor mount bolts shown in

figure 44.

5. Move the body of the motor so the motor

adjustment bolt slides to the right-hand side
of the adjustment slot.

6. pull the belt off of the motor pulley.

7. unthread the wheel mount bolt shown in

figure 44, and slide the lower wheel off of
the bearing shaft.

8. slip the old belt off of the wheel pulley and

install the new belt in its place.

9. re-install the lower wheel onto the bearing

shaft, and replace/tighten the wheel mount
bolt.

10. position the belt over the motor pulley.

11. Move the body of the motor so the motor

adjustment bolt slides to the left-hand side of
the adjustment slot.

12. hold the motor in position with one hand and

tighten the motor adjustment bolt with the
other hand.

13. Check the belt tension and adjust if neces-

sary (see

Tensioning Belt on page 39).

14. When the belt tension is correct, tighten the

motor hinge bolt and close the lower wheel
cover.
