4. Pivot the motor and slide the idler pulley to

loosen the V-belts.

5. Remove old V-belts and install the new V-

belts.

6. Slide the idler pulley down to tighten the

lower wheel V-belt, hold pressure on the idler
pulley, then tighten the mounting nut.

7. Check the wheel pulley V-belt for correct ten-

sion. Retension if necessary before continu-
ing.

8. Pivot the motor to tighten the motor V-belt,

hold pressure on the motor, then tighten the
motor adjustment bolt.

9. Check the motor V-belt for correct tension.

Retension if necessary before continuing.

10. When the belt tension is correct, tighten the

motor hinge bolt.

11. Replace the pulley cover, lower wheel, and

blade; then close the lower wheel cover.

1. Follow all previous instructions for Accessing

V-Belts.

2. Loosen the motor mount bolts shown in

Figure 45.

3. Loosen the idler pulley mounting nut behind

the cap shown in

Figure 46.
