2. test for good contacts; correct the wiring.

4. ensure circuit size is correct/replace weak breaker.
5. Check/fix broken, disconnected, or corroded wires.
6. test/replace if faulty.
7. replace switch.
8. test/repair/replace.

machine stalls or is
underpowered.

1. Feed rate too aggressive.
2. machine undersized for task.

3. Workpiece material not suitable for

4. motor wired incorrectly.

2. Clean/replace sandpaper; reduce feed rate/sanding

1. inspect/replace damaged bolts/nuts, and re-tighten

with thread locking fluid.

2. secure stand to workbench, reposition to level

surface, or shim.

3. Fix/replace fan cover; replace loose/damaged fan.
4. tighten/replace.
5. tighten disc hub or replace disc.
6. replace sanding belt (see

page 26).

7. tighten table locks.
8. test by rotating shaft; rotational grinding/loose shaft

requires bearing replacement.

9. replace bearings.
