Nextel Voice Mail

To use Message Forwarding you must:

• Program a forwarding address into your mailbox.

• Enable the forwarding feature.

• Select a type of message forwarding.

There are two types of message forwarding:

Immediate Forwarding -- The caller is notified that the message

being left will be forwarded.

Silent Forwarding -- The caller hears your personal greeting and is

not notified that the message is being forwarded.

Setting Up Message Forwarding

This feature allows you to set up and listen to your current forwarding
number.

To set up a forwarding number:

1. Log into Voice Mail. See “Accessing the Voice Mail Service After Set

Up” on page 33.

2. Press

to reach the Personal Options Menu.

3. Press

to modify forwarding options.

• Press

to hear your current message forwarding number.

• Press

to add an initial forwarding number or to change your

number.

• Press

to enable/disable message forwarding.

• Press

to choose your forwarding type:

• Press

to select immediate forwarding.

• Press

to select silent forwarding.

Caller Options

Your callers have several options when calling you. You can let them know
about these options by recording any of the following on your greeting.

• If you would like to leave a numeric page, press

.

• If you would like to send a text message, press

. If your

message is urgent, press

. This option is available only to

subscribers with Operator Assisted Paging.

• To skip this greeting and record a message immediately, press

.
