USING YOUR PHONE AS A MODEM
With Nextel Online Dial-up Services, you can use your i1000plus as a
modem for your IBM™ PC-compatible laptop computer (using Microsoft®
Windows). This is particularly useful when there is no wired phone line
(wall jack) available.
With this service, simply connect the data cable to your computer and to the
i1000plus phone. This will allow you to send or receive time-critical
information such as e-mail, a field service report, or files.
Note: To take advantage of this feature, you must subscribe to Nextel
Online Dial-up Services. For more information, contact your Nextel
Authorized Representative.
TTY USERS
You can use your phone and computer in TTY mode. Your
computer screen and keyboard replace the standard TTY
device. For more information, please see the Nextel Online
Dial-up Services User’s Guide that is included with data
cable accessories. Contact your Nextel Authorized
Representative for more information.
