Press the PTT button to make the call. The LED lights up
solid green. The display shows the destination alias.

Wait for the Talk Permit Tone to finish (if enabled) and speak
clearly into the microphone.

Release the PTT button to listen. When the target radio
responds, the LED blinks green, the radio unmutes and the
response sounds through the radio’s speaker.

If the Channel Free Indication feature is enabled, you will
hear a short alert tone the moment the target radio releases
the PTT button, indicating the channel is free for you to
respond. Press the PTT button to respond.
OR
If there is no voice activity for a programmed period of time,
the call ends.

You hear a short tone. The display shows Call Ended.

NOTE: Press

d

button or

c

to exit alias search.

If you release the PTT button while the radio is setting
up the call, it exits without any indication and returns to
the previous screen.

Your radio may be programmed to perform a radio
presence check prior to setting up the Private Call. If
the target radio is not available, you hear a short tone
and see negative mini notice on the display.

Assigning an Entry to a Programmable

Number Key

Procedure:

to select radio name/

alias. The entries are alphabetically sorted.

to the required alias or ID and press

to select.

to Program Key and press

If the number key is currently assigned to another entry, the
display shows The Key is Already Assigned Used and
then, the first line of the display shows Overwrite?.

The radio sounds a positive indicator tone and the display
shows mini notice.

The screen automatically returns to the previous menu.

NOTE: Each entry can be associated to different number keys.

You see a checkmark before each number key that is
assigned to an entry. If the checkmark is before Empty,
you have not assign a number key to the entry.
If a number key is assigned to an entry in Capacity Plus
or Linked Capacity Plus, this feature is not supported
