Message Format

you must select TEXT format to send SMS text
messages

if supported by the network, a SMS message can be
forwarded as a fax or an e-mail provided you select the
correct message format. Please contact your network
operator for further information

Message Alert

you can set the phone to alert you with a tone each time
a new message is received in addition to the indicator
flashing at ‘information’ speed(refer to page 1.11 for
indicator details)

Message T9 Language

For phones with T9 Text input the spelling language is
selected here

Creating a Template Message

if your regularly send similar messages, you can create a
template which will automatically appear (ready to edit)
each time you create a new message provided that the
feature is switched ON

for example:

Dear.......
....new name and message added each time...
Best regards
Jane

you can leave your own message each time you recall
the template

to switch the template ON and OFF

Entering the Service Centre (S.C.) Number

the SMS Service Centre number will be supplied by your
network operator if the service is supported

Message Validity Period

the Service Centre will repeatedly transmit a sent
message until the message is received, within a set time
period. The validity period which you set will apply to all
sent messages (MAXIMUM means 63 weeks)
