Adjusting the picture
Selecting the picture mode
You can select your desired picture type from four picture modes:
Sports, Standard, Movie, and Preference.
To select the picture mode:
1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu
appears.
2. Press z or y to highlight MODE.
3. Press x or • to select the mode you prefer.
Adjusting the back light feature
If your TV is in a bright room, the screen image may be difficult to
see. You can use the BACK LIGHT feature to adjust the screen
brightness for improved picture clarity.
To adjust the back light:
1. Press MENU, and then press x or • until the PICTURE menu
appears.
2. Press z or y to highlight PICTURE SETTINGS, then press
ENTER.
The PICTURE SETTINGS menu appears.
3. Press y or z to highlight BACK LIGHT.

Preference Your personal preference
Note:
If you select one of the factory-set picture
modes (SPORTS, STANDARD, or MOVIE)
and then change a picture quality setting (for
example, increase the contrast), the picture
mode automatically changes to
PREFERENCE in the Picture menu.

Note:
• The cold cathode fluorescent lamp used for
the back light on this TV has a limited life.
When areas on the screen darken, flicker,
or no longer light up, the lamp may be at
the end of its life.
• When in the video input mode or the no
signal is received, the back light feature is
automatically set to zero“0.”
