When enabling the HDMI Through function,
regardless of whether the AV receiver is On or in
Standby, both the audio and video streams from an
HDMI input will be output to the TV or other
components via the HDMI connection. The HDMI
THRU
and HDMI indicators light when this is
enabled. This setting is set to Auto automatically
when the above CEC Function is set to On.

Audio TV OUT (Audio TV Out submenu)

This setting determines whether audio received by
HDMI IN is output by the HDMI OUT. You may want
to turn this preference on if your TV is connected to
the HDMI OUT and you want to listen to the audio
from a component that’s connected to an HDMI IN,
through your TV’s speakers. Normally, this should
be set to Off.

Audio Return Ch (ARC)(Audio Return Ch submenu)

The audio return channel (ARC) function enables an
HDMI 1.4-capable TV to send the audio stream to
the HDMI OUT jack of the receiver. To use this
function, you must select the TV/CD input and your
TV must support the ARC function.

LipSync (LipSync submenu)

Lets you set the receiver to automatically correct
any delay between the video and the audio, based
on the data from the connected monitor.
• To enable, set to ON.

The power consumption during standby mode
will increase when the HDMI Through function
is turned on, however, in the following cases,
the power consumption does not increase:

• The TV is in standby mode.
• You are watching a TV program.

Refer to the connected component’s instruction
manual for details.

Depending on the connected component, the
correct input source may not be selected with
the setting set to Auto.

This setting is set to Off automatically when CEC
Function is set to Off.

Notes

If On is selected and the signal can be output by
the TV, the receiver outputs no sound through
its speakers.

If On is selected, TV Sp On appears on the
display when you press DISPLAY.

When TV Control is set to On, this setting
default is Auto.
