Common Operations

Setting the Clock

Before operating the unit any further, first set the unit’s clock.
When you plug in the power cord, “0:00” starts flashing on
the display.
You can set the clock when the unit is in standby mode.

On the remote control ONLY:

Press CLOCK for more than 2
seconds.

Clock setting appears on the display.

Press UP or DOWN to select the
clock synchronization setting,
then press SET.

On

The unit’s clock is adjusted
automatically with the FM RDS
signal on next time you tune in to an
FM station.

Off

The unit’s clock is adjusted manually.

The time system indication starts flashing.

Press UP or DOWN to adjust the
time system, then press SET.

12H

The hour indication is displayed with
a 12-hour system (with “AM” or
“PM”).

24H

The hour indication is displayed with
24-hour system.

The hour indication starts flashing.

Press UP or DOWN to adjust the
hour, then press SET.

• When you press and hold UP or DOWN,

the hour indication changes continuously.

• The clock is working even while setting.
The minute indication starts flashing.

Press UP or DOWN to adjust

the minute, then press SET.

• When you press and hold UP or DOWN, the

minute indication changes continuously.

The day of the week indication starts flashing.

Press UP or DOWN to adjust

the day of the week, then press
SET.

Display brightness setting when the unit is in
standby mode appears on the display.
• If you want to change the time setting, press

CANCEL repeatedly to return step 2.

Press UP or DOWN to adjust

the brightness, then press SET.

The brightness level can be adjusted
between “0” (canceled) to “3” (most bright).
The greater number you set, the brighter the
display is.

The unit’s clock starts working with the time you
adjusted.

• When you unplug the AC power cord or if a power failure

occurs
The clock is reset to “0:00.” If this happens, set the clock again.

• The clock may gain or lose 1 to 2 minutes per month (when

the clock synchronization is turned off)
If this happens, set the clock again.

To adjust the clock

On the remote control ONLY:

Press CLOCK for more than 2 seconds
when the unit is in standby mode.

Clock setting appears on the display.
