Using the Standby Reception

You can use three types of Standby Reception.
• Road Traffic News Standby Reception
• Announcement Standby Reception
• PTY Standby Reception

Using Road Traffic News Standby
Reception

the unit to switch temporarily to Road Traffic
News (or Traffic Announcement) from any
source except AM.
• If a Road Traffic News (or Traffic

Announcement) starts broadcasting, “Traffic
News” appears and the unit tunes into the
service (or FM RDS station) broadcasting
Road Traffic News (or Traffic
Announcement). The volume changes to the
preset TA volume level (see page 37).

To activate Road Traffic News Standby
Reception (and TA Standby Reception):

News Standby Reception (or TA Standby
Reception) is activated.

– When a service which is supporting Road

Traffic News is received. This unit now
stands by for the Road Traffic News signal
reception—Road Traffic News Standby
Reception.

– When a service which is not supporting

unit now stands by for the TA signal
reception—TA Standby Reception (see
page 14).

Standby Reception is not yet activated.
To activate Road Traffic News Standby
Reception, tune in to another DAB service
supporting these signals.

Road Traffic News Standby Reception is
activated.
