Clicking a track insert element with the I/O and DSP Assign
tool (in Mixer Edit mode) calls up a menu which can be used
to change its stream assignment:
Double-clicking a track insert element (in Mixer Control mode) opens the following dialog box:
Checking or unchecking the “Mix input always” box determines whether the signal received at the
input of the mixer column will be mixed with the signal received via the track insert.
If “Mix input always” is selected (box checked), the input signal is mixed with the track output at
all times, so that you can always monitor the input. In this mode however you have to remember
to mute the input when mixing your recorded tracks, otherwise any noise at the mixer column’s
input from external signals will be included in the mix. If you place several track inserts in the
same mixer column, you should select this option, so that all tracks are mixed together.
