Note. All single-ended terminators must be ANSI
SCSI-2 alternative 2 active terminators.
To install terminators, carefully insert the terminator’s
pins firmly into the socket’s holes. Note that pin 1 on the
pack is identified by a dot, a number one, or a notch.
To remove termination, remove the terminator packs by
carefully pulling them out of their sockets.
ST11950W and ST12550W drives
ST11950W and ST12550W drives are equipped with
permanently mounted IC terminators. This means you
can either enable or disable termination using jumpers
as described below.
To terminate ST11950W and ST12550W drives (enable
termination), install a jumper on J4 pins 11 and 12 as
shown in Figure 7.
To remove termination (disable termination), remove
the jumper from J4 pins and 11 and 12.
