ST11950 and ST12550 Installation Guide, Rev. D

Changing other applicable jumper options

Barracuda 1 and 2 drives are designed to be used in a
variety of systems. Unique installations may require you
to change one or more of the other jumpers to meet
specific system requirements; however, in most cases,
you will not need to change any of these jumpers for
normal drive operation. Figures 9a and 9b provide the
information necessary to configure all N and ND drive
jumpers not discussed elsewhere in this manual.

Write Protect = On (disables writing).

Write Protect = Off
(enables writing – default).

to use a color other than red with this connection.
