Activating/deactivating the ringer

All handsets ring when there is an incoming call. To deactivate the ringer: Press the star

key

P and hold. The Ú icon appears in the display.

To activate the ringer: Press the star key

P and hold.

Activating/deactivating the alert tone

When you deactivate the ringer you can activate an alert tone. When you get a call, you

will hear a short tone (beep) instead of the ring tone.
Press the star key

P and hold and within 3 seconds press the display key

Beep on

. You

will now see

º in the display.

To deactivate: Press the star key

P and hold.

Activating/deactivating advisory tones

Your handset uses 'advisory tones' to tell you about different activities and statuses. The

following advisory tones can be activated and deactivated individually (the default

setting is On).

Key click (every key press is confirmed),

Acknowledge tones (Confirmation tone, Error tone, End of menu tone),

Battery tone.

Restoring the handset factory settings

You can reset individual settings and changes you have made. This will not affect entries

in the directory, the calls list, the email directory or the speed dial list, the handset's

registration to the base and logos and melodies that you have loaded. Press
