Discs

Symptom

Explanation/Solution

The disc cannot be removed.

• Your camcorder is damp and moist inside (condensation). Or the internal

temperature of your camcorder is unusually high. Turn off your camcorder and leave

it for about 1 hour in a cool and dry place. page 117

• Finalizing is interrupted by turning off your camcorder. Turn on your camcorder and

remove the disc only when the finalization is completed. page 55

Disc is not recognized.

• The disc is damaged. Replace with a new disc.

Memory cards (SC-DX205 only)

Symptom

Explanation/Solution

CARD mode is not operable.

• Insert a memory card into your camcorder properly. page 60

• If you use a memory card formatted on a computer, format it again directly on your

camcorder. page 91

Image cannot be deleted.

• Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the memory card (SD card), if any.

• You cannot delete images protected by another device. Release the protection of

the image on the device.

• The memory card is not supported on your camcorder or card has some problems.
