SLEEP: Lights up when sleep timer is
activated.

SP.A*: Lights up when you select to drive
Speaker System A.

SP.B*: Lights up when you select to drive
Speaker System B.

* Does not light up when you connect

headphones to the PHONES jack.

; DIGITAL EX: “; DIGITAL” lights up
when the receiver is decoding signals
recorded in the Dolby Digital format.
“; DIGITAL EX” lights up when the
receiver is decoding signals recorded in the
Dolby Digital EX format.

; PRO LOGIC : “; PRO LOGIC”
lights up when the receiver applies Pro Logic
processing to 2 channel signals in order to
output the center and surround channel
signals. “; PRO LOGIC II” lights up when
Pro Logic II processing (“PLII MOVIE” or
“PLII MUSIC”) is applied (page 29).
However, both indicators do not light up if the
center and surround speakers are set to “NO”,
and “A.F.D. AUTO”, “PRO LOGIC”, “PLII
MOVIE” or “PLII MUSIC” is selected.

Note

Dolby Pro Logic and Dolby Pro Logic II
decoding does not function for DTS format
signals.

DTS-ES: “DTS” lights up when DTS signals
are input. “DTS-ES” lights up when DTS-ES
signals are input.

Note

When playing a DTS format disc, be sure that
you have made digital connections and that
INPUT MODE is NOT set to “ANALOG
FIXED” (page 25).

Tuner indicators: Lights up when using the
receiver to tune in radio stations, etc. See
pages 37–39 for tuner operations.

D.ASSIGN: Lights up when you assign an
INPUT SELECTOR’s digital input to another
INPUT SELECTOR with only analog input.

COAX: Lights up when the source signal is a
digital signal being input through the
COAXIAL terminal.

OPT: Lights up when the source signal is a
digital signal being input through the
OPTICAL terminal.

NEO:6: Lights up when DTS Neo:6
processing (“Neo:6 Cinema” or “Neo:6
Music”) is applied.

EQ: Lights up when the equalizer functions.

D.RANGE: Lights up when dynamic range
compression is activated. See page 35 to
adjust the dynamic range compression.

2CH A.DIRECT: Lights up when you select
ANALOG DIRECT.

MULTI CH IN 1 or 2: Lights up when
MULTI CH IN 1 or 2 is selected.
