When problems occur
When problems occur, the ERROR/WARNING or CLEANING LED lights or
flashes, and one of the following codes appears on the message display.

Loader error.
Restart the system and verify if the
error message disappears. If it occurs
again, note the error code and contact
customer service for repair. For details
on error codes, see “Error Code List”
(page 47).

AIT drive error.

appear alternately
on the message
display.
Data cartridge error.
Replace the data cartridge after
cleaning the AIT drive. If the same
problem occurs after doing so, contact
customer service for repair.

Cartridge not completely
inserted. Open the front door and reinsert
cartridges as necessary.

Cleaning cartridge not
inserted at the beginning of
cleaning.
Insert the cleaning cartridge in
slot CL/8.

beginning of cleaning.
Insert the cleaning cartridge in

Make sure that the operating
environment is within the allowed
temperature limits (5 to 40°C) and
verify that AIT autoloader fan is
operating normally.

For replacement parts, contact
customer service.

Too many cartridges in the
loader. (There are
cartridges in all the slots
and the AIT drive.)
Eject one or more cartridges from the
AIT autoloader.

The internal temperature of
the device is too low to
guarantee operation. Make sure that the operating
environment is within the allowed
temperature limits (5 to 40°C).
CLEANING
Flashing (green)
C L AIT drive cleaning request.
Clean the AIT drive. If the CLEANING
LED starts flashing again, repeat
cleaning up to three times. Also verify if
the cleaning cartridge has reached the
end of its service life. If after performing
the above the CLEANING LED
continues flashing, contact customer
service for repair.
