Proceed as follows to adjust the volume via the remote control.
To... Hold down the...
Increase the volume + .
Result: A horizontal bar is displayed and the volume
increases until you release the button.
The cursor moves to the right to indicate the
volume.
Decrease the volume - .
Result: A horizontal bar is displayed and the volume
decreases until you release the button.
The cursor moves to the left to indicate the
volume.

The volume setting is maintained when you:
◆ Place the set in Standby mode
◆ Unplug the set from the wall socket or a power failure
occurs

You can switch the sound off temporarily.
Example: You wish to answer the telephone.
1 Press the MUTE ( ) button on the remote control.
Result: The sound is switched off and is displayed on the screen.
2 When you wish to turn the sound back on, press the same MUTE ( )
button again or press the VOL + button.
Result: The sound returns at the same volume as before and the
indication disappears.
