Connect the audio cords.

See “Hooking up optional components” on
page 26.

Press MD (VIDEO) to switch the
function to MD or VIDEO.

Start playing the connected component.

Notes

• Pressing FUNCTION and ?/1 while the power is

off automatically turns the power on and “VIDEO”
is selected as a function. When the system is in the
Power Saving Mode, this function does not work.

• If the sound is distorted or too loud when selecting

“VIDEO,” or you want to switch back to “MD,”
repeat the operation described above to switch to
“MD.”

Recording on a connected
digital component

Connect the digital cable.

page 26.

Start recording.

Refer to the operating instructions provided
with the connected component.

Recording audio from a
connected component

Connect the audio cords.

Start recording manually.
