Troubleshooting

Your camera cannot play back images.

There is no Album Image because you imported the image from a computer to the camera
using a Mass Storage connection. Perform [Scan Images] (page 59).

The folder/file name has been changed on your computer. Perform [Scan Images] (page 59).

When an image file has been processed by a computer or when the image file was recorded
using a model other than that of your camera, playback on your camera is not guaranteed.

The camera is in USB mode. Delete the USB connection (page 86).

The date and time are not displayed.

The shooting information is not set to be displayed. Switch the display pattern using the DISP
(Screen display switch) button (page 16).

The image appears rough right after playback starts.

The image may appear rough right after playback starts due to image processing. This is not a
malfunction.

The image does not appear on the screen when a USB connection is made.

Disconnect the USB cable (page 86).

The image does not appear on the TV screen.

Check [Video Out] to see if the video output signal of your camera is set to the color system of
your TV (page 64).

Check whether the connection is correct (page 73).

Your camera cannot delete an image.

Cancel the protection (page 47).

You are using the “Memory Stick Duo” with the write-protect switch, and the switch is set to
the LOCK position. Set the switch to the recording position (page 120).

You have deleted an image by mistake.

Once you have deleted an image, you cannot restore it. We recommend that you protect
images (page 47), or use the “Memory Stick Duo” with the write-protect switch and set the
switch to the LOCK position (page 120) to prevent accidental erasure.

The resizing function does not work.

You cannot resize movies.
