Precautions

Care of the unit

Remove dust or dirt on the surface of the lens or optical
filter with a blower.

Clean the cabinet with a soft, dry cloth. If it is very
dirty, use a cloth slightly dampened with a mild
detergent solvent, then wipe dry.

Avoid the use of volatile solvents such as alcohol,
benzine, and thinners. They may damage the surface
finish, or erase the indications on the camera.

Miscellaneous

Be careful not to spill water or other liquids on the
camera, or to get combustible or metallic material inside
the body. If used with foreign matter inside, the camera
is liable to fail, or be a cause of fire or electric shock.

To protect it from shocks during transport or shipment,
pack the camera away in the original box and packing
materials, or in packing materials of equal quality.

Power supply

Use the supply voltage given in “Specifications.”

Operating and storage locations

Avoid shooting a very bright object (such as light fittings
or the sun) for an extended period. Avoid operating or
storing the camera in the following locations.

Extremely hot or cold places (operating temperature
–5°C to +45°C (23°F to 113°F))

Where the camera is exposed to direct sunlight for long
periods of time, or close to heating equipment

Damp or dusty places

Where the camera is exposed to rain

Locations subject to strong vibration

Close to generators of strong magnetism

Close to generators of powerful electromagnetic
radiation such as radio or TV transmitters

Ventilation

Do not wrap the camera in a cloth, etc., during operation.
Doing so may cause the internal temperature to rise
excessively and cause a malfunction.
