Listening to traffic, weather
information, or news
automatically
When the traffic announcement, weather forecast,
or news starts while you are listening to a DAB
programme or other programme source, the tuner
will automatically switch to the announcement;
after the announcement ends, the tuner switches
back to the previous programme or source.
While listening to a DAB programme, press TA,
WTHR, or NEWS to select “on ” or “off.”
When you specify “on” for Traffic, Weather, or News,
“TA,” “
,” and “ ” will appear in the
display, respectively. When an announcement is turned
in, the respective icon appears in reverse contrast.
To cancel the current announcement
Press DSPL/PTY or SOURCE.
Selecting the mode with the wireless remote
While listening to a DAB programme, press MENU and set
the “Traffic,” “Weather,” or “News” to “on” or “off.”
Sub menu item Function
Traffic When a traffic announcement starts, the tuner
automatically switches to it.
Weather When a weather forecast starts, the tuner
automatically switches to it.
News When news starts, the tuner automatically
switches to it.

Each time you press
DSPL/PTY for two
seconds, the function
menu switches as

Notes
• The unit will not
switch to certain
services, even if the
respective mode has
been set to “on.”
• If the unit switches to
an announcement,
and another
announcement starts,
the unit will remain
tuned to the first
announcement and
will not switch to the
second.
