Messaging

This chapter describes how to send, receive,
and erase messages from your phone. For
information on voicemail messages, see
“Voicemail” on page 14.
Note: The features and menus described in this
chapter may vary depending on services available
in your area. Visit www.virginmobileusa.com for

Text messages

You can send text messages to phones that are
capable of receiving them or to email addresses.
Text messages have a 160 character limitation
including spaces. Charges apply for the use of these
features. See www.virginmobileusa.com for pricing.

Send a text message

1. At the main screen, scroll right or select

Menu

>

Messaging

>

Send text msg

.

2. At the Send To field, do one of the following to

enter the recipient’s phone number or
email address:

Select

Options

>

Recent list

,

Recent

calls

,

Contacts

or

Groups

to access your

stored contacts.

Enter the phone number or email

address manually. See “Text entry” on
page 16.

You can message up to ten recipients at once.
Use a comma or spaces to separate
addresses. If you select stored contacts, this is
done automatically. Scroll down to move to
the next field when done.
Note: The messages are sent one at a time,
once to each recipient. Standard text
messaging charges apply for each recipient.

3. At the Message field, enter the message.

4. Select

Send

.

Include auto text and symbols

During text entry, you can insert prewritten text
(auto text), symbols or smileys.
1. From the text entry screen, select

Options

and one of the following.

Insert auto text

to insert prewritten text

from a list.

Add symbol

to insert symbols. Press the

corresponding number to select a
symbol.

Add smiley

to insert smileys. Press the

corresponding number to select a smiley.

2. Complete your message.

3. Select

Send

.
