Air Filter Cleaning Procedure

Cleaning the Air Filter

The air filter is an important part that prevents the intrusion of dust onto the optical parts and other parts inside
the projector. When the air filter becomes blocked, the internal temperature will rise and the rotation of the fan will
also increase leading to a reduction of the service life or causing breakdown. In view of this, the air filter should be
cleaned regularly (about once a month, when the projector is used 4 hours per day).
Note that the air filter should be replaced with a new one when it becomes difficult to clean out the dust.

2

Remove the air filter cover

B.

Press the hooks of the air filter cover B and lift to de-
tach it.

4

Attach.

Follow the removal procedure in opposite order to
attach.
• Press the air filter

Air filter care and precautions
• Do not wash with water nor with hot water. Doing so will cause blockage.
• Do not wipe with a cloth or damp rag. Doing so will cause blockage.
• Be careful not to forget to install the air filter. Leaving the projector without a filter installed will allow

dust to enter the inside of the projector and the image quality may worsen.

• When the air filter is damaged, be sure to replace it with a new air filter. Use of the projector with

a damaged filter will result in dust entering the inside of the projector and this will cause the image
quality to worsen.
