DVD Setup Menu features
Setting the Parental level
Use this function to restrict the viewing of movies
to children of appropriate age levels only.

Select the "PARENTAL"
See 'Setting the Preferences' (page 28) to
select "PARENTAL".

Setting a Parental Lock level
Press the [
5] or [∞] button.
Display
Setting
"1 G"
Plays children-oriented software.
Restricts playback of adult and general-oriented
DVD software.

"3 PG"
"4 PG 13"

"6 PG-R"
"7 NC-17"
"8 ADULT"
Plays any software (including adult-, general-
and children-oriented).
"NO_PARENTAL"
Canceling the parental lock.

Enter the password
Press the number buttons.
Enter your password ( 4-digit ). Input numbers
are displayed "X".
Press the [ENTER/
£] button.
• Parental level varies with the discs.
• The password’s initial value is "3308".
Changing the password

Select the "PASSWORD"
See 'Setting the Preferences' (page 28) to
select "PASSWORD.

Select the "CHANGE"
Select "CHANGE" and press the [ENTER/

button.

To enter your current password

Press the [ENTER/

• The password’s initial value is "3308".
Initializing
Resets (or initializes) the parameters you have set
by "DVD Setup" to the original status when the
deck was shipped from the plant.

select "DEFAULTS".

Select the "RESET"
Select "RESET" and press the [ENTER/

button.

Enter the password
Press the number buttons.

Initializes the parameters you have set
Press the [ENTER/
£] button.
• The DVD setup values are NOT initialized even when
the Reset button of the unit is pressed.
