3.6 Guidelines for Correct Results
Undisturbed satel-
lite signal recep-
tion Successful GNSS surveys require undisturbed satellite signal reception, especially
at the receiver which serves as a reference. Set up the receivers in locations which
are free of obstructions such as trees, buildings or mountains.
Steady antenna for
static surveys For static surveys, the antenna must be kept perfectly steady throughout the whole
occupation of a point. Put the antenna on a tripod or pillar.
Centred and
levelled antenna Centre and level the antenna precisely over the marker.
