Timeshift (Pause, Live TV/Playback) Setup and Operation
You can store a program in the HDD storage cache temporarily. If you use
timeshift function a second time, previously cached timeshift segment will be
deleted.
1 Press TIMESHIFT while watching a TV program.
The Progress Bar display appears on the screen as shown on the left.
The Progress Bar changes to timeshift icon after 40 seconds.
1. Indicates playback mode.
2. Indicates current Timeshift position.
3. Indicates timeshift start time.
4. Indicates Timeshift elapsed time.
5. Indicates the bookmark point.
6. Indicates the time that is one hour from Timeshift start time.
2 Press STOP to exit Timeshift function.
The current broadcast is displayed on the screen.

• If disk space is insufficient during a Timeshift operation, the oldest
Timeshift section of the cache will be incrementally deleted.
• To save disk space, a digital program that has no signal can’t be stored.
• A blocked channel can be recorded but a black screen is shown during
recording.

• You can use trick play functions (Slow, Scan, etc.). Refer to Playback
Operation on page 48.
• You can edit the cached clip during Timeshift to retain the program on the
HDD. Refer to Clip Record on 50.
Bookmark
During Timeshift, you can bookmark a point and play it back automatically
when you press the TIMESHIFT button.
1 Press TIMESHIFT to bookmark the point you want to return to later.
The Progress Bar display for Timeshift appears as shown at left on the
screen. The first bookmark appears blue and the second one appears
green.
The Progress Bar display for timeshift changes to Timeshift icon after 40
seconds.
2 Press TIMESHIFT to move the bookmark.
The bookmark point is moved to the newly marked position.
3 During Timeshift, press BLUE or GREEN to recall the bookmark.

The bookmark function is also available on regular playback.
