defaults. Refers to options (data values or Program tasks) that are pre-set. Defaults are based
on the most common user selections. You may modify the default settings.

drill-down. The feature that lets you access additional information from the Logbook and
Health Checks Reports.

drop-down menu. The list of options that is displayed after clicking arrow buttons on screens
or entries on the Menu Bar.

Exception Report. A OneTouch

®

DMS Report that ranks patients on key diabetes related

information. Additional sorting capability is provided for patient groups, characterized by
their insurance coverage. Designed in log format, each column of information can be sorted
to provide flexibility in identifying those patients who may not be under good diabetes
control.

exercise record. A data record that contains the duration and intensity of an exercise period.

Favorite Report. The OneTouch

®

DMS Report the Program will go directly to after readings

are transferred from the meter.

file. A collection of data that is labeled and stored in your PC, or on an external storage device
such as a floppy disk. Your software and database are stored as files on your PC.

food record. A data record that contains carbohydrate, fat, protein, or calorie data.

footnotes. Text messages that appear on the bottom of Reports whenever one or more
glucose readings were outside the linear range of the meter. Footnotes also appear if
readings have been edited or omitted from the Report.

gestational. A type of diabetes that occurs as a result of pregnancy.

Get Meter Readings. The function that transfers readings from the meter to the database.

glucose average. The arithmetic mean calculated on a set of glucose readings.

Guest. A permanent record in the database reserved for any patient who is not regularly
served by OneTouch

®

DMS. Database records for a Guest are automatically deleted when

you start OneTouch

®

Software. They are also deleted whenever new data for a Guest are

transferred from a meter.

Glucose Trend Report. A OneTouch

®

DMS Report that displays an X-Y graph of glucose levels

over a selected Date Range.
