9.5.1 Programmable functions

Helpful hints:

To exit programming, press {ih} at any
time.

9.5.2 Memo alarm

Setting memo alarm
An alarm will sound for 3 minutes at the set time
once or daily. 3 different alarms can be set. A text
memo can also be displayed.
Set the date and time beforehand (page 26).

1. Press $ (centre of joystick).

2. Select t, then press ,.

3. Select

Memo Alarm”, then press ,.

4. Push the joystick up or down repeatedly to

select an alarm (1 to 3).

L

Times and memos for previously set
alarms will be displayed. To delete the
previous setting, press _, select

Yes”, then press ,.

5. Press ,.

6. Select an alarm mode, then press ,.

Off” (default): Turns the alarm OFF.

L

If you select

Off” skip to step 13.

Once”: The alarm will sound once at the set

time. Enter the desired date and month by
selecting 2 digits for each.

Daily”: An alarm will sound daily at the set

time.

7. Enter the desired hour and minute by

selecting 2 digits for each.

8. Press / repeatedly to select

AM”, “PM”,

or 24-hour time entry, then press ,.

If you do not need to enter a text memo,
skip to step 10.

9. Enter a text memo, up to 32 characters (see

page 88 for instructions).

10. Press ,.

11. Select the ringer that will sound at the set

time.

12. Press ,.

13. Press ,.

14. Press {ih}.

Note:

To stop the alarm, press {C}, {ih}, {s},
{

0} to {9}, {*}, {#} or {INT}.

L

When the cordless handset is in talk or
intercom mode, the alarm will not sound until
the call has ended.

L

Memo alarm volume depends on cordless
handset ringer volume (page 25).

L

The alarm will sound at the set time even
when the ringer is turned OFF.

L

If you select

Once”, the setting will be

changed to

Off” after the alarm sounds.

9.5.3 Ringer options

Changing ringer types
You can select the ringer type for the cordless
handset from one of 15 types.

EXT Ringer Type”: Selects the ringer heard

for outside calls.

INT Ringer Type”: Selects the ringer heard

for intercom calls.

Paging Tone”: Selects the ringer heard when

all cordless handsets are paged.

Private Ring”: Allows you to set a different

ringer for each private category (for Caller ID
service users only, page 38).

1. Press $ (centre of joystick).

2. Select s, then press ,.

3. Select the desired item, then press ,.

The ringer sounds using the current
ringer type.

L

If you select

Private Ring” choose

the desired category, then press ,.

4. Select the desired ringer type, then press

,

.

5. Press {ih}.

Note:

L

If you select one of the melody ringer types,
the ringer will continue to sound for 10
seconds if the caller hangs up before you
answer. You may hear a dial tone or no one
on the line when you answer a call.
