● Drive Condition Setup
This item lets you specify whether to deactivate the DVD
drive when no operation takes place for a certain time or
keep it active.
1. Move the cursor to the DRIVE SLEEP parameter in
the SYSTEM INFO menu by pressing the or
button.
2. Select either ON or OFF by pressing the or
button.
ON: Deactivates the DVD drive automatically after
30 minutes when no operation takes place.
OFF: Keeps the DVD drive activated continuously.
The default setting is ON.
Notes:
• If you record alarms frequently, for example, at
intervals of a few seconds, it is recommended to
select OFF position.
• Also select OFF position to avoid that some
frames are omitted from recording when starting
Time Lapse Recording at high capture rate after
the DVD drive has been deactivated.
■ System Information Menu
This menu allows you to specify the sleep operation
mode of the DVD drive and lists status information for
the Disc Recorder.
2. Move the cursor to ALARM LABEL (or SENSOR
LABEL) in the ALARM RECORD menu by pressing
the
or button then press the SET button.
The label editing menu shown below appears.

All items other than those described above pro-
vide information on the Disc Recorder’s system
status and cannot be changed from this menu.
■ Label Setup
The Disc Recorder can display the point of origin of any
incoming alarm or sensor signal on the monitor screen.
This is done by assigning three types of labels consist-
ing of up to 8 characters.
ALARM LABEL: Label assigned to the frame coin-
ciding with alarm input and all fol-
lowing frames.
SENSOR LABEL: Label assigned to the frame
coinciding with sensor input and
all following frames.
VOLUME LABEL: Label assigned to a DVD-RAM
disc.
● Alarm / Sensor Label Setup
1. Move the cursor to ALARM RECORD in the MAIN
menu by pressing the or button, then press
the SET button. The ALARM RECORD menu shown
below appears on the monitor screen.
