Delayed transmission
The unit can send fax documents automatically at a specific time. This allows you to take advantage of low-
cost calling hours offered by your telephone company.
Delayed transmission can be programmed up to 24 hours in advance.
1 1 Insert the documents FACE DOWN.
1 2 Press (MENU) .
1 3 Press K , then press B E .
1 4 Press (START/SET) .
1 5 Press (‹) or (›) to select “ON”.
¡ If this feature is not required, select “OFF”.
1 6 Press (START/SET) .
1 7 Enter the phone number by using one-touch
dialing, speed dialing, full number dialing or
electronic telephone directory.
1 8 Press (START/SET) .
1 9 Enter the transmission start time.
Example: 11:00PM
Press aa`` , then press k to
select PM.
To select AM, press
j .
10 Press (START/SET) .
11 Press (MENU) .
¡ When the programmed time has come, the
unit will automatically start transmission.

Note:
¡ If there is no answer or the line is busy, the unit
will automatically redial the number up to 2 times.
¡ You can receive, transmit and copy documents
while delayed transmission is set.
¡ If the programmed start time has passed during a
power failure, delayed transmission will be
attempted soon after power is restored.
¡ When transmit polling (see page 39) is set to ON,
delayed transmission is not available.
