* It should be noted that problems have been observed when using the side
tappings on certain water heaters; therefore, it is strongly recommended to use
the top water tappings as indicated in Figure 1 to minimize thermal siphoning
and related issues.

In order to improve serviceability of our products,
the check valve is included with our manual kit
for field installation between the air-handler and
hot water source.

The check valve should be installed in a vertical
run of pipe with the flow of water in an upward
direction.

An arrow on the check valve indicates its correct
orientation and must match the direction of water
flow.

This will allow for ease of service to remove any
installation debris or service required due to
extended hard water conditions.

Note: Take care during soldering to avoid debris or
solder from lodging in the check valve.

Note: It is critical to follow the piping configuration
shown. Maintain a minimum distance of 12”
above the CAF/AH. This will minimize thermal
siphoning in the combo system.
