Selecting Text
1. Press CAPTION on the remote
control or FUNCTION on the front
panel to display DECODER . Then
press VOL + or – so the arrow
points to ON .
2. Press CAPTION or FUNCTION so
the display shows DECODER
MODE . Then press VOL + or – so
the arrow points to TEXT .
3. Press CAPTION or FUNCTION so
the display shows MODE SELEC-
TION and press VOL + or – so the
arrow points to MODE 1 or MODE
2 .
4. To turn off the text function, press
CAPTION or FUNCTION so DE-
CODER appears, then press VOL
+ or – so the arrow points to OFF .
Note: If the signal for the text program
is weak, the black box might appear
and disappear on the screen. This
problem goes away when reception
improves.
